We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine.

craig ferguson makes me cry, really.
please watch this, it's not allowed to be embedded - so click here:
It was powerful. For me, the most powerful aspect was not the alcoholism talk but that which he said about his own conscience being troubled by tearing others down {the shot at Rev Ted and homophobia aside}.
However, when the Church or a Christian speaks out in this manner we are often seen as being judgmental and imposing our morals on others.
What Craig said is good and true but the double standard of our world is also worth addressing, for me anyway and maybe only for me.
Yep, O'boy, the Church has judged and condemned so many for so long that the world refuses it's ministry--we've got a long row to hoe--one hurting person at a time...
I am listening to it right now....thanks for pointing it out...
I think he knows what he's talking about - it does not matter if you are rich or famous or whatever - recovery happens in community with other people that know what you've been through and are willing to stand by while you walk through those first days of hell.
