serenity prayer

one of the things that recovery has given me is the serenity prayer, the whole prayer, not just the little bit that everybody knows. just in case you haven't heard the whole prayer i'm going to type it out.

god, grant me the serenity
to accept the things i cannot change
the courage to change the things i can
and the wisdom to know the difference.

living one day at a time
enjoying one moment at a time
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace
taking as jesus did, this sinful world as it is
not as i would have it

trusting that you will make all things right
if i surrender to your will
so that i may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with you forever
in the next.

amen.

one of the things i've wanted to do was to break down the prayer sentence by sentence and explain what it means to me.

i hope you enjoy this prayer today.

I'm touched and humbled by your honesty here on this blog. i came across it searching for the serenity prayer (see my latest post on http://www.rosalynclare-coaching.co.uk )

Food is a difficult issue for so many of us women - or all?

Many thanks
