pray, pray, please pray

dear blog world. could you pray please for the son of a friend of mine. he is in his early 20's and has needed open heart surgery for a while. he's headed to princeton theological seminary this fall, and thought he'd get it taken care of before he left. i just got an update:

he is in ICU and is on a lung-heart machine. The surgery began on Monday morning around 9:00 a.m. and his parents finally saw the surgeon at 4:45 a.m. this morning. There were several complications after the surgery. Please pray as this is a very serious situation. The doctors plan to keep him on the lung-heart machine to rest his heart. At this present time one ventricle is not functioning properly.
this life and this heart, and this passion wrapped up in this young man is so important to the kingdom (and to his two dear parents). any prayers you could offer on his behalf would be so appreciated.
